Hire a web developer in Goa
I'm Moses Rodrigues, a web developer based in Goa, India. I build production web applications — the kind with real authentication, real user roles, and real data behind them — using Next.js, React, TypeScript and Supabase.
If you're looking for someone in Goa specifically, the practical advantage is that you can meet in person for scoping or commissioning, and we're in the same timezone for everything else. Most of my work is remote regardless, including for clients outside India.
What I build for clients in Goa
Most requests fall into one of a few shapes. Booking and enquiry sites for hospitality and tourism businesses, which Goa has a lot of. Internal dashboards where a business is currently running on spreadsheets. Customer-facing portals with logins and role-based access. And web front ends for hardware systems, which is the overlap most developers can't cover.
- Business websites and landing pages that load fast and rank
- Booking, enquiry and customer portal systems
- Admin dashboards with role-based access and reporting
- Web interfaces for IoT and sensor systems
- Existing site rebuilds where the current one is slow or unmaintainable
Why local matters less than you'd think — and where it does
Being in Goa genuinely helps for two things: an in-person scoping meeting at the start, and on-site work when a project involves physical hardware installation. For everything else — building, reviewing, deploying — location is irrelevant and remote is faster.
What matters more is whether the person building your system has shipped comparable systems before. Every project on this site links to either a live deployment or a public repository, so you can check rather than take my word for it.
How working together actually goes
We talk through what you need. You get a written scope with a fixed price or rate before anything is built. I build in weekly slices so you see something clickable each week rather than waiting until the end. At handover the code is in your repository, deployed, with setup documentation and two weeks of bug fixes included.
What you actually get
One person covers firmware, backend, frontend, and deployment
On a connected-hardware project, most clients end up hiring a firmware contractor and a separate web agency, then absorbing the integration risk themselves. Smart Well Management and Smart Waste Management were each built end to end by one person — sensor selection, ESP32 firmware, database, dashboard, deployment.
Eleven shipped projects with live demos and public source code
Most portfolios show mockups. Nine of eleven projects here have either a working deployment you can open right now or a public GitHub repository, or both.
Five hackathon podium finishes, including Smart India Hackathon
Independently judged evidence of building working systems under deadline, rather than self-reported claims about speed.
India-based rates, timezone that overlaps Europe and the Gulf
IST (UTC+5:30) gives a full morning overlap with Europe and the Middle East, and an evening overlap with US Eastern. Costs are well below US or EU agency rates without routing through an intermediary.
You own the code from day one
Work lives in your repository, deploys to your infrastructure, and ships with setup documentation. No proprietary platform to keep renting.

Questions
Can we meet in person in Goa?
Yes, for scoping conversations and for hardware installations that need someone on site. Day-to-day development work happens remotely, which is faster for both of us.
What does a website cost in Goa?
It depends entirely on whether you need a brochure site, a booking system, or an application with user accounts and an admin backend. I quote after a scoping conversation rather than publishing a price list, because a number without a scope is a guess. A focused web application typically takes two to five weeks.
Do you work with businesses outside Goa?
Yes. Most of my work is remote, including clients in the US, UK, UAE and Europe. Goa is where I'm based, not the limit of who I work with.
